Who are BeforeBricks?

BeforeBricks is a nationwide architectural design and planning service for homeowners. We believe the spaces we live and work in have a great influence on us, and a good design can improve our health and wellbeing. As a company, we pride ourselves in having a strong eye for detail and a passion for construction and materials. We create inspiring and elegantly crafted architecture, which works within its context and is designed for those who live and work in it.

Our designs are born from a continuous dialogue and collaboration with client and consultants, making the process of building simple and enjoyable. We are practical as well as ambitious, with a considered design approach. This allows us to maximize the value that good design and planning can bring, both on a financial and social aspect. Yes. We carry professional indemnity insurance with a limit of £1,000,000.

When would I submit a pre-application to the council?

We may suggest that you apply for a pre-application if your proposed project is contentious or high risk.

How many revisions to plans are included in my design package?

The pricing for all of our packages includes two sets of revisions. This means you can change as many elements of the design as you wish, but they must all be communicated to us in one batch, rather than drip fed over a period of time.

Does BeforeBricks also carry out the building works?

Not yet. We do not carry out any building works. We are a design and planning company. However, we do have an extensive network of reliable and trusted partners that we are happy to connect you with.

When do I pay?

Payment can be made once we've issued you a quote and invoice. To pay, you need to follow the instructions on your invoice. Some invoices may have a deposit option, allowing you to pay a 50% for us to get started.
